Tishana Trefena Darby also known as “Pinky Famous” is a rising star in the reggae music industry. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital on November 24, 1999, and grew up in Portmore, St. Catherine. She learned the business from her father Oneil Darby who is known as ”Oneil Famous”, a dancehall DJ veteran in the 80’s on sounds like Creation, Metro Media, and others. "Pinky Famous" lovingly recalls how her father discovered her singing talent in the car one day while he was playing an old rhythm called “Cus Cus”. In her words "I was singing Kesha Cole’s song, my dad then started training me from there." She explained that she sang a song on his phone and saved it as his voice message. Soon people called him upon hearing her singing on his voicemail and they asked him who she was. Based on the beautiful vocals that she possessed people enthusiastically made requests for "Pinky Famous" to do dubplates for them and her father said yes. From that moment on she started doing dubplates for sounds in Brazil, Sweden, Barcelona, United States, Jamaica, Canada and the Caribbean.

"Pinky Famous"recorded her first song at age nine when her father opened his own studio and voiced it over a rhythm called “Party Time Reloaded”. The rhythm features artists such as Gyptian, Tinga Stewart, John Mouse and other artists. This talented young lady is no stranger in the music circles, to her credit she now has four official releases. These singles are “School Bus Ride”, “Want You Back”, “Party Fever" featuring Alozade, and “Educate the Youngsters Dem” which was a massive tune for her in Jamaica and South Africa. Despite her determined efforts to be a global artist, she still focuses on her academic studies and balance her young career and school work quite maturely. More so, she understands the will-power and strength that it takes to get to the ultimate finish line in the music business. Pinky is very young, and depends highly on her father's guidance, encouragement, and support to help her attain the title of a recognized and respected artist. Her visions and goals to become the next big songstress out of Jamaica certainly have a lot of potential overall.

"Pinky Famous" is now busy in the studio working on her debut Ep which is scheduled to be released this summer 2016. Her first single released from this Ep is called "HEART BREAKER" a song in which she speaks strongly against infidelity and encourages females to be smart and protect their heart and to always put their education as a first priority. Thus, her "Heart Breaker" single is now available on all download stores and her music video for the song can also be seen on Youtube and other media sources. Some of the people that inspire her are artists such as Rihanna, Kesha Cole, Gregory Isaac, and Etana but most importantly she was inspired by her father Oneil Darby. Being around him when he was doing music gave her that passion and love for singing more than ever. "Pinky Famous" recently won the verdict at Roots FM with one of her new song “School Bus Ride” and she is now promoting “HEART BREAKER”.

Her future looks bright and within the next five (5) years, she sees herself as a new REGGAE SUPERSTAR. Runway Model Darvell Sampson

Meet "CaribbeanNation Hunk 2016" Darvell Sampson

CaribbeanNation Magazine, February 2016

In 2016, CaribbeanNation looked for a face to represent our company and by the time the votes were in Mr. Darvell Sampson was officially crowned as our "2016 HUNK". The decision was indeed a good one and Mr. Sampson was very humbled by his accomplishment. A native of Trinidad and Tobago, this vivacious yet handsome young man is certainly a winner in our eyes. More so, Mr. Sampson is a professional runway model and a blue color guy from nine-to-five, when he roll his sleeves up as a hard working technician in New York City. Seen as a prodigy in fashion, he stops at nothing when it comes to making bold statements in his unique yet creative style and  garment selections.

Being different is what separates Mr. Sampson from the rest of the crowd and he believes that his daring approach puts him in a class by himself. As a young boy, he always loved dressing up in stylish outfits and envisioned being a model on the big stage. Once he migrated to New York, he knew that one day he would grace the runway for all to see. Soon his fierceness, determination, good looks, intelligence and talent paved the way for him to enable model scouts/agents and photographers to stop and recognize what he had to offer. Indeed, he had the entire package that many agencies were looking for and by the time he knew it he was a fashion sensation.

Despite his achievements he endured a few hurdles along the way but emerged through it all and used it as a platform to make him stronger. As a Black, Caribbean male venturing into such a colour phobia industry he emotionally and psychologically prepared himself to deal with situations that may hinder his true potentials. Proving himself and his capabilities was lightly challenging and within a matter of time, he was a favorite for many photographers and their camera lenses. He has done numerous fashion shows, posed for many magazines and other media circles. Mr. Sampson has no plans on when he is going to retire as a model because he insists that he would age gracefully enough where he will always be in demand.

A proud father at best, he has a beautiful and precious daughter who he loves abundantly. And if the ladies are wondering if this "HUNK" is single, well we are sorry to disappoint your curious minds. Mr. Sampson is somewhat off the market if you will. Overall, Mr. Sampson is given the responsibility by CaribbeanNation to represent us as our "Poster Child" not just in the United States but the Caribbean and other countries. Our staff has full confidence in him and we know that he would do a splendid job on our behalf. We encourage him to be strong-minded, determined, ambitious and motivated towards his goals and aspirations always. The big question remains "Will Mr. Sampson be able to defend his title in 2017?". Only you the public will be able to make that prediction. With that said, CaribbeanNation wishes Darvell Sampson a fountain of never-ending success.

A genius at her craft-work Michelle K. Sydney is indeed a brilliant playwright/director from Trinidad and Tobago. Once CaribbeanNation Learned about Ms. Sydney and her mission we knew right away that this was an individual that we had to do an interview with. This exceptional woman has produced great stage plays like "A Mother's Scorn" in New Jersey of 2008 and New York of 2009 and "Blood Transfusion" in Trinidad in 2012 and 2013 and "House ah Real Horrors" in 2014. She migrated to the United States in 1994, raised her family and in 2011 she made a huge decision to relocate back to her homeland in sweet T&T. Once she arrived in Trinidad she bold-fully established her organization called The Point Fortin Performing Arts Association and began hosting auditions to recruit talented individuals within the district of Point Fortin and environs.

Michelle is a recipient of an Associate in Applied Science, Criminal Justice degree, and a Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies. During the course of her academic career, she minored in theater arts and enthusiastically welcomed her writing and acting skills. In 2001, she began acting with numerous groups and by 2006 she formed her own company called Prestige Production LLC where she trained young men and women to embrace public speaking, etiquette training and lots more. By 2007, she extended her organization into a performing arts company and began producing her own stage plays which did exceptionally well. In addition, Michelle worked as a school teacher with the Montclair Board of Education and a radio personality in New Jersey where she is famously known as "Prestige HD".

A very well-rounded person at best she is gracefully working towards constructing her performing arts empire in Trinidad and Tobago. Her stage plays primarily consist of real life occurrences which she dramatically transform on stage. When asked, what about theater do you like? she proudly explained, "Theater is a place that enables you to escape all of your life's mishaps once you are on a stage. Many people use it as a therapy mechanism to forget about their personal issues for that two or three hours of a performance, and to me that's golden. It gives you a sense of belonging and it also commands people to see how talented you are." In essence, Michelle is very, elated and ambitious towards building her brand and with determination and admiration for the performing and cultural arts she plans on going full throttle after her goals.

As of May 2015, Michelle and her diligent team opened the doors to the first ever performing arts studio in Point Fortin, where young children, youths, and adults can learn dance, drama, poetry, music, vocal training, music production, and public speaking.
